Deadbolt Locks Fitted in Austin, TX
A deadbolt is the only lock on most front doors doing real work. The throw is solid, there is no spring latch to slip, and a properly fitted one turns a kick-in from a five-second job into something loud and slow.
The bolt should throw a full inch into a box strike, and that strike should be screwed through the jamb into the framing behind it. Skip that and the best deadbolt on the market simply takes the trim with it.
Single cylinder is standard: key outside, thumbturn inside. Double cylinder needs a key both sides, which is a real security gain on a door with glass beside it and a genuine hazard in a fire. We will talk you through the trade before fitting one.

Common questions
Is a double cylinder deadbolt allowed?
It is legal in most residential settings but it is a genuine escape hazard, and some local codes restrict it. We will fit one if you want it and we will make sure you understand the trade first.
What grade should I get?
Grade 2 is the sensible default for a home. Grade 1 on a door that takes a beating or a rental with high turnover.
Can the deadbolt match my existing key?
Yes. We key it to your current house key so nothing new goes on the ring.

Locked myself out at eleven at night with a toddler asleep upstairs. Quoted me on the phone, arrived in half an hour, had the door open in under five minutes without a scratch on it. Charged exactly what was quoted.

We turn over about forty units a year and they handle every rekey. Invoiced to the office, keying schedule emailed the same day, never had to chase them.

Dealer wanted a tow plus two days for a lost Kia key. These guys did it in my driveway in about an hour for a lot less. Two keys, both tested before he left.

Panic bar failed on a Friday during service. They came out after close, fixed it properly and talked me through what the inspector would be looking for.
