Emergency Locksmith in Austin, TX
An emergency locksmith is not a different trade, it is the same trade at an inconvenient hour. What separates a good one is that the phone gets answered, the price is fixed before the van moves, and the lock survives the visit.
We keep technicians on rotation through the night rather than paging somebody out of bed and adding an hour to your wait. Calls inside Austin city limits are typically covered in 20 to 40 minutes; the outer towns run 45 to 75.
Emergency work is where the trade earns its reputation, good and bad. The nineteen-dollar advert that becomes a four-hundred-dollar invoice is a lead broker, not a locksmith. You get one number from us on the phone and that is the number on the receipt.
What the job involves
-
A person answers, every hour
No queue, no answering service reading from a script. You speak to somebody who can actually dispatch a van.
-
Fixed price before dispatch
Service call plus a labour range, agreed before anyone drives out.
-
The lock usually survives
Picking and bypassing first. Drilling is a last resort and it is discussed with you before it happens.

Common questions
What counts as an emergency?
Anything that has you standing outside, or a door that will not secure. Lockouts, snapped keys, a deadbolt that will not throw, a storefront that will not lock at close. If you are unsure, call and describe it.
Is there a callout charge if I change my mind?
If we have already dispatched, the service call fee stands. If you cancel before a technician is on the road, nothing is charged.
Do you work on holidays?
Yes, every day of the year. Holiday and overnight work carries an after-hours rate that you are told about before we send anybody.

about us
Reviews left by customers across Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park and Pflugerville.

Locked myself out at eleven at night with a toddler asleep upstairs. Quoted me on the phone, arrived in half an hour, had the door open in under five minutes without a scratch on it. Charged exactly what was quoted.

We turn over about forty units a year and they handle every rekey. Invoiced to the office, keying schedule emailed the same day, never had to chase them.

Dealer wanted a tow plus two days for a lost Kia key. These guys did it in my driveway in about an hour for a lot less. Two keys, both tested before he left.

Panic bar failed on a Friday during service. They came out after close, fixed it properly and talked me through what the inspector would be looking for.
